Takeout Tuesday, Holiday Edition
For our last Takeout Tuesday of 2013, we decided to incorporate a little holiday cheer! We started by pretending it was Christmas Eve with takeout from Hunan Dynasty. The relevance, you ask? Well, in my hometown Chinese takeout joints seemed to be the only restaurants open after church on Christmas Eve (and Christmas Eve was the only time we ever seemed to go to church).
While I’d planned to make latkes to add to the holiday mix, unfortunately work got in the way.
After chowing down we did a little gift exchange… Us New Englanders always called them Yankee Swaps but they’re also known as White Elephant and Dirty Santa.
Justin Bieber made multiple appearances.
Even the pups were feeling festive!
