Putting off “Reality” and the End of Summer

Let’s be honest, it’s been a tough transition back to work and back to reality.  Luckily, we had a tubing trip this weekend to soften the blow.  We’re only about half unpacked from Colombia, but we were off again to float down the Shenandoah one last time before Summer 2013 comes to a close.  I understand the end of Summer is technically defined by the start of college football, which Courtney has been eagerly and vocally anticipating since early May.

We went to a new spot this time, about twenty minutes before you hit our usual Walmart stop in Luray.  The best part?  I didn’t have to plan a thing.  No, really, I could get used to this.

Have you ever tried a s’more with a hot dog in it?  It’s not bad!

Okay, I suppose it’s really back to reality now.  Time to clean up our house, clean up our diet (you know, less hot dog filled s’mores) and get my happy little ass back into a routine that involves the gym.  Which can I please note, is not any easier to do at 6:00am when it’s dark?  My warm, fluffy perpetually unmade bed is just so comfortable!  Luckily we have two more weeks of August Recess, separated by a long weekend with absolutely nothing planned.  Then it will be back to reality.
